And if a double decker bus...

DP bus

Talking of marketing, some of you may have seen this blatant self-promotion currently featured on the bus routes of Greater Manchester.

I'm a big fan of bus advertising as it's highly visible and always on the move. Our ads feature on around two dozen buses and it's just one part of our current profile-building strategy. We think it's a statement of intent that shows we're serious about our company.

As the adverts say, event management just got funky.

New kid on the blog

Andrew Wake

As the Don't Panic empire continues to expand we're pleased to announce a new pair of hands is joining the company. It's been many years since I could actually describe myself as a kid but I will be providing help and input at all our forthcoming events and also regularly contributing to Eventualites from a PR and marketing perspective.

Clients often dream up the best events and conferences in the world on paper but without an audience your speakers will inevitably be listening to the chirruping of crickets drowning out their voices.

That's where I come in. A successful event needs publicity and promotion and we intend to focus on offering appropriate PR and marketing to ensure all our clients events have the best levels of attendance possible.

It's also important that we use these skills to promote our own young business and our ambition is to be the first name on the lips of anyone seeking a professional, reliable and extremely capable event management company.

EVENTS:review - a new online resource

by nickywake @ 04. 04. 06 - 11:10:57

EVENTS:review is a new website which aims to provide a one stop resource showcasing the events industry to a wider marketing audience.

Launched on the 3rd of April by Interactive New Media (INM), the website features event and venue news, a section on event-related technology, and video interviews with key players from the events world broadcast using Internet Protocol Television (IPTV.)

The site also provides a searchable database of event agencies, venues and services. Given it only launched yesterday the sections are quite sparse however they’re certain to grow, as basic listings are free.
