Two events for CIM, one for Manchester Digital and a major pitch have kept us busy this week. To top it all we were invited to Leeds Metropolitan University to give a presentation on event management last night.
It was a nice bit of synchronicity that we opened with a slide featuring Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's Marvin to an audience of 42 first year PR students. Disappointingly only one of them knew who he was!
The invitation to present came from the University's PR lecturer Richard Bailey, author of the excellent PR Studies blog, and it was something we were very keen to accept. It's strange being the focus of attention when you're so used to looking after other speakers but we're great believers in putting something back.
Hopefully we went some way to explaining how events fit into the PR mix and the kind of skills you need to get things right. Plate spinning is often a good place to start...

Your photogenic presentation was very welcome - but we're all far from solving the meaning of life (and I didn't even recognise the paranoid android).
