Business Link YorkshireYorkshire International Business Convention

Last Friday we were at the Yorkshire International Business Convention managing activity for major event sponsor Business Link Yorkshire. The convention is the annual highlight in the county's business diary and attracted almost 2000 delegates to the event's dual venues in Harrogate and Bridlington. Speakers included John Cleese, ex-Eurythmic Dave Stewart and Tim Smit of The Eden Project amongst others, all of whom were flown by helicopter between The Yorkshire Event Centre and Bridlington Spa.

We were responsible for our client's business lounges and award presentations at both locations and we brought in grafitti artists to interpret business success stories and create an unmissable focal point for the day. Other activity included the creation of Business Link branded inspirational word clouds and a live Twitter stream which attracted hundreds of comments and proved that businesses are really switching on to the potential uses of social messaging.

Given the amount of time Don't Panic have spent over there recently I'm surprised we haven't started speaking with Yorkshire accents...
